DarkStar Account

Post by Naep » Sun Nov 24, 2013 8:15 pm

Hi,

"To start FFXI you have to log into your DarkStar Account"
"Coulnd't find server! 108.60.219.3"
~
~

When I'm running the FFXI Boot program i keep getting this message and I'm not sure where I need to log into which DarkStar Account then. Because is it on the forum here or some other location?

Thanks for your time,

Naep

Could I get some information with how I could find the server then?
Because I'm not sure where the issue is.

Where I installed my folder?
Firewall?
Wrong Version?
Forgot a step on which the boot does not connect to the Final Fantasy?

Which server are you trying to connect to? If you're hosting your own server on the same machine, the IP would be 127.0.0.1. Otherwise, you'll have to find out from the server you're trying to connect to.

The server I was trying to connect to is called Valadilene, installed everything from there etc.
Also asked this question on their forum but no answer so far.
But if you/anyone knows of a better server ( Prefer 1 / 2x rate ) then do share please with a link.
And also then, if I were to connect to a connect a new server yet, do you think I will have to re-install the whole thing again then? (Could be that other servers scripted it diffrently).
Or do I still just have to run the boot but to the I.P of the other server then?

Servers should all be using the same client so you shouldn't need to reinstall. You just need to change the IP in the boot loader to connect to a different server. However some servers may be running on older clients so you may need to update the client eventually to connect to a different server.

You can find a list of servers here:
