Linux question

is there a client out there that can be used on linux? im thinking of switching my OS to ubuntu from win7, and i wanted to make sure id be able to play still, if there is anyone know of a tuturial or guide that can help me in the process? i noticed the guides on setting up the server itself in linux, but didnt come accross any for the clients

There is no native Linux client

Your only option is wine and the official client. The wine website will have more info on how to get ffxi working under wine, but remember to follow our client setup guide once you finish with getting it installed and running under wine.
